about this album
Dandy Dandie presents Helios y Selene, the quartet's second album.
The quartet continues its quest for a singular lyricism, at the crossroads of
chamber music, impressionistic jazz, and timeless musical poetry.
While their first album, Hypnos & Morphée, was steeped in the chiaroscuro of
night, Helios y Selene opens a new cycle: that of a dialogue between sun and
moon, brilliance and intimacy. The quartet weaves a music of delicate
contrasts, where silences are as important as harmonies, where sunlight
reveals the same mysteries as nocturnal reveries.
Chloé Cailleton's clear and soulful voice intertwines with Geoffroy Tamisier's
poetic lines, the woody depth of Alban Darche's tenor, and the subtle and
refined colors of Nathalie Darche.
Together, they create an intense repertoire, where each piece is like a
whispered secret or an incantation.
With Helios y Selene, Dandy Dandie confirms its unique identity: an art of
nuance and emotion, music that unfolds in the in-between – between dream
and waking, the intimate and the universal.
