Assured and conversational, saxophonist Alban Darche, bassist Sébastien Boisseau and trombonist Jean-Louis Pommier lead us in their reflections and observations on their serene and colorful music. Simply put: jazz intertwining with chamber music, impressionism and improvisation.

On PARADIGME (Paradigm), they ripple through tempos, stretch melodies in ever evolving atmospheres and textures. The three-piece strolls in pastoral moods wind and soil; lightning up sceneries whether it’s a pale sun or a troubling moon. And when the tenor sax, trombone and double bass finally come together, they could just as easily get free. In this restless dialogue where suggestions and questions continuously arise, interlacing harmonies seem to multiply, capturing the breath of every pulse. Clover pursues the same rich musical vein that forged their unique sound: heartfelt, poetic and organic. And takes a giant leap; closer to the heart and grounded as the earth.
